iPod

The iPod moral in the story might have been hidden and hard to find but if you look closely, it might start to make sense. In the beginning, Pascal liked to listen to his iPod music. In fact, he liked it so much that he was even thinking about putting them on on the way to the crown. When he was in the village and flooding his ears with Coldplay, he wouldn't even share it with the girl because he thought that there will be germs and diseases on the buds after she wears it. This is telling us that technology can wedge between us. When Pascal decided to give the iPod to the girl, that   is telling us that there is a way to go back and take out that wedge (because we don't really need technology, medieval people were surviving fine *if you don't count the black plague*). This moral is faint but still there.
