Shanties

Shanties are what the poor people live in. These poor homes are related to the story because this story is about not judging or insulting different people (in this case, the poor) just because they have less. Shanties are Pascal's mother's point of view. To some, those same homes could be described as enchanting palaces (probably not but it's possible). Just because they live a lower life, it doesn't mean that they should be treated less than a human. And that is TheMoral; Don't judge a book by its cover. Those homes might look broken and useless but the people that live there might think it's useful and beautiful.
