Zombie

Zombie: a horrifying monster of the undead. But in this case the word zombie is used to describe people. The ones that are less fortunate than other tend to be looked down upon. Smelly, poor, bad, unhealthy... But they shouldn't be insulted badly. The word zombie shouldn't be used to describe people. This relates to the moral because Pascal's mother always taught him that poor people are bad which gives him the illusion that the poor people are bad and should be looked at like zombies (and act like a lazy idiots with all kinds of diseases and health problems). Those poor people might look skinny, tired, uneducated and weak but it is very rude to call people zombies, especially if they didn't do anything bad to you. Although Pascal used to believe what his mother said about the homeless people, he doesn't believe it anymore; because he heard the truth, he saw the truth. An that is the moral is exactly that; don't always believe other's experiences, think about your own experiences. The word zombie connects to the story because it is what Pascal's mother taught Pascal to think about when he sees a homeless person.
